Suffering from Tooth Pain after Office Hours?

Get emergency dental care now

Emergencies rarely happen during office hours

Most patients wake up with a throbbing toothache or sustain an injury over the weekend, when most dental practices are closed. To protect your health and well-being, Dr. Stephen Eriksen offers emergency dentistry. Emergency dentistry addresses priority issues requiring immediate treatment as well as conditions that cause severe pain. Examples of common emergency dentistry concerns include:

  • Cracked or broken teeth
  • Knocked out teeth
  • Severe tooth pain or abscesses
  • Root canals
  • Gum inflammation and irritation
  • Loose fillings
  • Lost crowns or fillings
  • Broken bridges or dentures

Why an Emergency Dentist? Why Not Wait Until the Next Day?

Tooth pain is not normal. If your tooth hurts, something is not right. In some cases, tooth pain can even be debilitating, preventing you from going to work or even thinking clearly. In addition, postponing treatment can allow your condition to worsen resulting in more extensive dental work in the future. There is no need to worry or suffer through severe pain. Dr. Eriksen is an experienced general dentist who is trained to handle any concerns that may arise. He is able to diagnosis the source of your problem, provide pain relief, and offer either immediate treatment or long-term treatment, if needed.

What to Do If a Tooth Has Been Knocked Out

Timing and proper handling of the tooth are critical. With proper handling and immediate treatment, a tooth that has been knocked out can often be saved. You must get to our office right away and transport the tooth in its socket, if possible. If not, you must keep it moist by placing it in the cheek or carrying it in milk. Do not handle the tooth by the root or use water to rinse it or keep it moist.
