We are thrilled to have you as a new patient

Our patients become like family to us. We work hard to improve the health and appearance of your smile and to help you to maintain it. To make your visit as convenient as possible, we have listed a few items that you might want to bring with you to your first appointment, including:

  • Identification
  • Insurance information, cards, or forms
  • A list of current prescriptions or supplements
  • Recent dental x-rays – taken within the past six months

What You Can Expect Upon Your First Visit

Detailed Consultations

When you arrive and check in, we will ask you to fill out a few forms to help us get to know you better. Some of the forms may ask about your dental and medical history as well as current medications. Please have this information on hand as it is vital to your safe and effective treatment.

If you have had x-rays taken recently or were give x-rays as part of a referral, bring them with you. Otherwise, we might need to take new x-rays. This provides a comprehensive view of your tooth and bone health for Dr. Eriksen.

During your consultation, Dr. Eriksen will examine your oral health and discuss any problems you may be having. This is an excellent time to point out any concerns you may have about the appearance or function of your smile. Dr. Eriksen can thoroughly explain your options to you and incorporate your feedback into your treatment plan.

If you require more than preventive dentistry, we will prepare a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate for you. Dr. Eriksen will explain which procedures must be scheduled first and why each must be performed. We will keep you informed every step of the way.

Depending upon what you have scheduled, you may have a teeth cleaning appointment as well. Please allow up to an hour and a half for your visit with us.

We look forward to meeting you!
